About Kempter Holistic Dentistry

Kempter Dentistry is a biologically minded dental clinic that has served Concord, NC since 2011, taking a whole-body approach to dental care and combining technology with the feel of a family-run clinic. The clinicians practise under a stated standard the clinic calls the RITE way — Respect, Integrity, Trust, and Excellence — and frequently co-manage cases with specialists, physicians, toxicologists, oral surgeons, and sleep physicians. The clinical range runs from a structured hygiene programme to restorative work: amalgam removal under the SMART protocol, ozone therapy, platelet-rich fibrin drawn from the patient's own blood, CEREC same-day CAD/CAM restorations, 3D-planned implants, and clear aligner therapy. Material selection is treated as an oral-systemic question, with biocompatibility testing available to identify which dental materials suit a given patient. The clinic is out-of-network by choice and sees patients Monday through Thursday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

Common Questions

Is anything offered before the procedure for additional protection?

Patients may be offered a charcoal or chlorella slurry to rinse and swallow before amalgam removal as an added measure, unless the patient declines or it is not clinically appropriate for them.

How does the clinic decide which filling material is appropriate for a patient?

A dental biocompatibility test is available through Clifford Consulting and Research. A blood sample is evaluated for antibodies to the chemical ingredients used in dental materials, and the patient receives a clear list of which materials are suited to them and which to avoid. Composite resin, ceramic, and gold are the main alternatives to amalgam; most patients choose composite for its tooth-matching colour and moderate cost.

What is the dental fitness programme?

Dental fitness is an objective evaluation of current oral health. After assessing plaque, gums, and bone, the hygiene department assigns a fitness level from 1 (healthy) to 4, with a plan to improve and maintain home care. The sequence runs consultation, evaluation, personalised plan, and ongoing check-ins to track improvement over time.

Does the clinic test for bacteria linked to gum disease?

Yes. OralDNA MyPerioPath testing is offered, a lab test that identifies and measures harmful bacteria linked to gum disease, tooth loss, bad breath, dental decay, heart disease, diabetes, and stroke. The clinic cites the CDC estimate that roughly 47% of American adults have some form of periodontal disease, and uses the test to identify problems while they remain straightforward to treat.
